Welcome to My Wedding!!
The Wedding
We wanted to include
David's parents in the processional since they are basically all the family
he has. To do this, we had our organist (Barb Lassahn) play the same tune
to accompany the parents in as the bridesmaids.
Ken Brown ushered in
David's grandmother, Dolores (no picture is available). Victor Gibson ushered
in David's mother, Deborah. And the best man, Steve Lassahn, ushered in
my mother, Lois.
Then followed the bridesmaids,
Becky Breiner and Michelle Gibson (at the time, 5 months pregnant) and
the maid of honor, Jenn Bala.
Then everyone's favorite
part, the ring bearer and flower girl...
Victor Gibson, Jr. and
Vanessa Miller.
Here Comes the Bride...
So you don't feel lost
or left out, here is a copy of the program for the wedding. My father is
a printer and was able to do this during his "free time" at work for me...
Thanks Dad!
David and I were very
lucky to have pastors Randy Buchman and Dave Sullivan at our wedding. Randy
had moved away from the area and made a special 3 hour, one way trip just
to be the pastor at my wedding. Dave is a missionary home on furlow working
as the pastor of the church that we were married in. Thanks to both of
you!
Music has always been
a part of my life. I grew up in a musical family always singing in a choir
or playing a musical instrument. It was no surprise to anyone that I wanted
to include music in my wedding. My sister Barb sang two songs, "I Found
Myself in You" and "Evergreen". We were also honored to have Ruth Naomi
Floyd, a professional Christian artist and a good friend of ours sing "O
Perfect Love". For the second verse she played her flute. At one point
while she was singing, our eyes met and we both started to cry, her musical
gift is that powerful.
Since we didn't get
a picture of her singing at the wedding, she is shown below at rehearsal
and with her husband Kenyatta... since she is a professional figure, her
married name will not be listed here to protect her private life.
Please
Meet my Sister Barbara
Ruth
Naomi Floyd and her husband Kenyatta
You may kiss the bride...
I now present to you...
David and Rachel Mooney.
