Welcome to My Wedding!!

Before the ceremony...

Before the actual wedding, there were many things that had to be done.
Of course, that means that there were many things that could go wrong.
One thing that went wrong, almost immediately, was that I twisted my ankle and fell.
Below, you can see me propping up my foot while it has a bag of ice on it.

The next thing that seemed to be a must was for my hair and makeup to look as horrible as possible. Fortunately, I had the help of my one bridesmaid (Becky) to make sure that I looked worse than I ever had before. Of course, someone had a camera. Thanks Jenn.

Finally, after my hair settled down, we managed to get my dress on me (it took 4 people) and then we discovered that my undergarments were showing, ACK! Thankfully, my mother always carries safety pins, in case of this type of emergency.

The next problem was that I needed to switch from a plain headband to the headband with my veil attached to it. Well, I am significantly taller than just about everyone who was there to help me. I am sure you are thinking no problem, just sit down right... WRONG! The train on the gown made that quite difficult. Becky had to lift the train while someone else slid a chair underneath it for me to sit on.

Finally, we were able to switch my headpiece. Quite surprisingly, I had 20 minutes to wait before the actual start of the ceremony. It was quite amusing watching everyone else hustle to get ready on time.
